First week of November the Litter Less Campaign launches in all paricipating countries.
From 1 December - 1 April participants register and investigate a local litter issue as part of the Litter Less Campaign.
By Earth Day /Week 17-24 April students work should be posted on the Litter Less Campaign website
By 1 May national YRE Juries must have selected the national winners of the Litter Less Campaign and submitted them to the International YRE Director. Late entries will not be accepted.
Between April and May national press releases are issued and prizes awarded.
By the end May the International YRE Jury has met and selected the international winners.
By 5 June (World Environment Day) a press release announcing the international winners is issued.
During the summer months international certificates and prizes are distributed via the National Operators who also complete a survey for inclusion in an international report.
Before the following years competition one national winner per age category and media type from each participating country will attend, upon invitation, an all expenses paid international YRE workshop. Additional students and accompanying national operators and/or teachers will be invited only as deemed necessary and financially possible by the International YRE Director.
